The truism is that Persian cooking is a domestic art that does not lend itself to restaurant treatment. While it is correct that nothing can beat a lovingly prepared Iranian home meal, it is equally true that a range of highly competent restaurants now exists in most major cities in the West, providing authentic Persian food.
